Meditation Group Conscience: March 6, 2023

Meeting Agenda:
- Election of a meditation chairperson
- Decide on a meeting script to move forward with
- Determine changes to the meeting script
There was discussion on a permanent chairperson to be elected for the January to June 2023 period. Tom L put his name forward as chairperson. There was a vote, and Tom L was elected unanimously as the chairperson for the January to June 2023 time period.
Discussion was had on the script and the motion was made to have the GAA meditation guide in Google Drive the main document and post a link to the document in the GAA Mediation forum. There was a second, and then a vote. It was decided unanimously to make the GAA Meditation guide in Google Drive the main document and post a link to that document in the GAA forum.
There was a motion to remove all highlighting from the affirmations. The motion passed with 4 votes in favor, 0 votes against, and 2 abstentions.
There was a motion to tentatively accept the changes to the GAA meditation meeting script, with the option review and change them at the next group conscience. The motion was seconded and a vote was held. The motion passed with 5 votes in favor, 0 against, and 1 abstention.
The next group conscience will be held on April 3, 2023.
The group will get together for a committee meeting to continue discussion and work on the GAA meditation script. There will be a post to the meditation WhatsApp group to allow anyone who would like to join the committee meeting to be allowed to have input.
The group conscience meeting was closed with the we version of the serenity prayer.
