Forum rules
* The business of the General Service Conference is discussed. We make decisions by group conscience, guided by higher power. Those elected as a trustee or delegate can vote on all GSC matters. GAAIS staff can vote on issues related to their area.
* Back and forth discussion of different perspectives is appropriate. We strive to be respectful of all.
* Anonymity reminds us to place principles before personalities.

Old Business

Sending Literature out for Review by Fellowship
In Feb 2021 when the new website went live, GSC decided to allow new and updated materials on the website. The Literature Committee was tasked with collecting feedback from the fellowship and revising the materials. There are five webpages, one flier, and four pamphlets ready. They are shown in the Literature Committee spreadsheet's "Approval process" tab on https://gaais.org/service-structure.

Review GSC literature approval process https://gaais.org/post4#p4
Report back on review process (Jennie): after discussion with LitCom, other GSC folks, suggest multi-pronged approach:
Post in general WhatsApp forum; reps to post in their groups’ forums as they see fit
Email to allgroups@gaais.org
Add to announcements page on GAA website
Reps can encourage/gather feedback as tget see fit, e.g. announce at meetings, host special discussions, suggest leaders read part or all of one of these as the reading for a meeting, etc.
There are Google docs versions of the literature pieces to allow comments:
The “twenty questions” pamphlet, https://docs.google.com/document/d/14Q2 ... 9bklo/edit
The “Is Gaming Addiction Real” pamphlet, https://docs.google.com/document/d/17KB ... Wwa60/edit
Decide how many rounds of approval process to do and what to include in each round: Since we have 2 pieces approved for the first round and agreed to a 2-month review period, we don’t need to decide how many other “batches” of documents to send out until the May meeting.

Remaining items needing to be approved as ready to send out:
What GAA is and is not https://www.gamingaddictsanonymous.org/about-us/
Several GSC members felt that emphasizing that we are a 12-step fellowship that follows the Steps and Traditions was important because this was a major reason for the split from OLGA. After some discussion, the GSC unanimously approved the following motion
Motion: send About Us back to Lit Com with the following concerns:
We want a strong, clear statement that we are a program that follows the 12 steps and traditions;
We want this to be bolder and more inspiring;
If this is intended to be one of the first places that newcomers land consider linking to newcomer resources and add more about how GAA works
Consider making the centrality of the mission statement to this document more explicit

GAA history https://www.gamingaddictsanonymous.org/about-us/
After some discussion, the GSC unanimously approved the following motion
Motion to approve the History of our Fellowship section for fellowship review. Passes unanimously

Motion to extend:
6 ayes, Andy leaves

We began a review of the FAQs but didn’t get beyond the first section.

GSC members agree to read the remaining items before next month’s meeting to expedite discussion and approval. Remember we are NOT editing; GSC members can do line-by-line edits with the rest of the fellowship when materials are sent out. If we do not think a piece is ready to send out, we need to provide specific direction to Lit Com about what we would like to see before sending it out. The remaining items are:
