Forum rules
* The business of the General Service Conference is discussed. We make decisions by group conscience, guided by higher power. Those elected as a trustee or delegate can vote on all GSC matters. GAAIS staff can vote on issues related to their area.
* Back and forth discussion of different perspectives is appropriate. We strive to be respectful of all.
* Anonymity reminds us to place principles before personalities.

Old Business
LitCom has 2 “new” projects for which it requests GSC approval.
Jennie summarizes state of FAQ about wording and God and next steps if request approved: Although there is a draft version that reflects feedback from several fellows, this project has never been formally defined/approved by GSC. We are requesting GSC approval of the project description. If approved, we will move to Step 3 of the literature development process and LitCom will send this out for feedback from the wider fellowship. Description here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KaA ... HDV74/edit
Motion to approve project description and have LitCom proceed passes unanimously

Jennie summarizes state of Steps intro and next steps if request approved: The material currently on the website is an adaptation of material from AA, and has never been sent out for input from the wider fellowship, nor been formally approved as a project by GSC. We are requesting GSC approval of the project description. If approved, we will move to Step 3 of the literature development process and LitCom will send this out for feedback from the wider fellowship. Some GSC members were concerned at the implication of the last sentence of the Scope section that this piece is meant NOT to be inspiring. Members felt that an introductory piece could still be inspiring. (Sentence in question: “Inspiring new members to begin step work is done by meetings, sponsors, recovery buddies, and literature, not by this brief intro for people who have yet to attend a single meeting.”)
Some GSC members were concerned by the third bullet point: “To be clear that the steps are one of the suggestions commonly made in GAA, that there are many other valuable parts of the program for newcomers who are not yet willing or ready to begin work on the steps.” Some felt that we’re so busy not stepping on toes that we don’t stand up for our own program. Maybe say that
GSC members would like to know what website text this proposed piece will be replacing.
There was no motion to approve
