Item 2. Motion to change the Serenity Prayer.
Treasurer was not present to give a report.
Webmaster report: it was agreed that Shmully would put the website on the OOMG email and access would be given to Matt. Shmully gave a brief history of the OOMG website.
GSR report: GSR had nothing to report.
Revisiting the opening prayer in the OOMG format was tabled.
New Business
The language of the Fourth Step reads “We made a searching and fearless personal inventory of ourselves.”
A proposal to go before the GSC would change “personal” to “moral,” which is a word used by some other fellowships.
There was general agreement that “moral” is a better choice.
Motion: the OOMG GSR will propose (or support) at the GSC a motion to change the wording of the 4th step to say "moral" instead of "personal."
Meeting was extended by five minutes.
Motion was tabled.
Meeting closed with the Serenity Prayer.
